LEWIS
studied viola da gamba with Jordi Savall.
She has toured and recorded extensively with Hesperion XXI, Boston Camerata, and Capriccio
Stravagante, both in the United States and abroad. Recent performances include appearances with
Hesperion XXI at Lincoln Center and
the Boston Early Music Festival concert series, and w ith Boston Camerata at Calvin College
(Grand Rapids, MI), St. Louis Cathedral, and the Ringling Museum (Sarasota, FL).
She has recorded on Astraea, EMI, Lyrichord, Harmonia Mundi, Nonesuch, Erato,
Atma Classique and Koch International.
She has taught at New England Conservatory, Amherst Early Music, and the
annual conclave of the Viola da Gamba Society of America. She is one of the founders of the Society for
Historically Informed Performance.
